In FY21, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) consolidated and centralized data centers across the ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û to save money and simplify management. Thus far, ET&S has focused on data centers from Granite State College, the University of New Hampshire-Manchester, and Plymouth State University, moving to a central location on the University of New Hampshire-Durham campus. Systems from Keene State College and other data centers will be moved to UNH-Durham as well.

ET&S migrated all these data centers over the ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û high-speed statewide network with minimal user impact. For example, 103 servers were moved from Plymouth to Durham with no downtime or effects on users.  This effort will save ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û time and money, as less hardware to maintain and central management results in lower costs. At the same time, having services together makes it easier to provide high-quality protection of data and the ability to recover from catastrophic failures.
