CourseLeaf is a set of software products from LeapFrog Technologies. It contains several modules designed to help higher education institutions manage their course data, including curriculum management, catalog updates and publishing, and building class schedules. CourseLeaf automates manual processes. A primary goal was to cut down on the human resource hours required to complete specific tasks and automate error checking and building in resources to reduce the time spent correcting human errors (both from a data entry and a policy perspective.) The implementations also presented opportunities for streamlining and standardizing business practices across colleges and departments.

The implementation, which began in 2021 and is still ongoing, impacts all UNH and KSC staff focusing on academic programs, catalog management, and scheduling. This includes institution-level offices such as the registrar’s offices, dean’s offices, and provost offices, as well as department-level personnel such as chairs, faculty, and administrative staff involved in program changes, catalog editing, and course scheduling.

Implementation Status: The CLSS (section scheduler) module at UNH and CAT (Catalog management) at KSC are live. The CIM (Curriculum management) module is underway at both UNH and KSC and is expected to go live in FY24.
