The myUNH portal is a one-stop-shop for students, faculty and staff seeking campus-related resources and information. Over the last year, Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) and Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) collaborated to update the look and feel of myUNH to match the latest university branding standards. This included updating the graphic icons in the portal to align with those included in the UNH Mobile application, creating a consistent user experience.

Project staff on the portal usability and search functionality team worked to improve the accuracy of results for the most common search terms and to eliminate common failed searches by updating task descriptions and tags. The portal is designed with many task centers, allowing for easy navigation and making it possible for users to group related tasks in one place.

The project also focused on removing redundant or unused tasks, while others were reviewed for usability.

Once ET&S staff completed the baseline work, CPA coordinated an email and postcard marketing campaign encouraging users to set myUNH as their homepage and as the homepage for all new or centrally managed faculty and staff computers.

This effort has been part of the UNH Digital Strategy to maintain the focus of UNH.edu on external audiences for recruitment purposes while reducing the volume of web content designed specifically for faculty and staff.
