Microsoft SharePoint is a cloud-based service used by organizations to create websites to securely store, organize, share, and access documents (source: support.microsoft.com).
In FY22, Enterprise Technology & Services Institutional Assessment & Research Team (IR&A) created new SharePoint sites for Keene State College (KSC) and the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and to help facilitate the sharing of reports, dashboards, and research results with UNH and KSC leadership.
Before the creation of these sites, IR&A shared their work with KSC and UNH leadership at each institution via emails with attachments or containing links to dashboards, making it difficult to keep track of work provided by IR&A since it was not all easily located in a single place. The new SharePoint sites provide a central repository for IR&A work that includes copies of reports, survey results, and links to internal dashboards.
The UNH site has a main page where information is shared with the Provost’s Office as well as with college deans and associate deans. Each UNH college has its own page where college-specific reports, analyses, and dashboards are shared with that college’s dean’s office.
These sites also make it easier for KSC and UNH leadership clients to find and access IR&A work providing a central, user-friendly place.
