In December 2021, the ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û (×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û) received 750 laptops through the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief & Recovery (GOFERR) grant to provide as relief during the pandemic to cover staff with equipment for remote work use, and to replace insecure, outdated computers to the benefit of many ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û employees, who now have access to more reliable hardware with support for current software.
Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) assisted in the setup and deployment of these computers across ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û. To date, ET&S deployed 448 laptops (in some cases, replacing 10-year-old systems) at Keene State College (KSC), Plymouth State University (PSU), and the University of New Hampshire (UNH).Â
In addition to ET&S technicians stationed at each campus, technicians from the UNH Durham recently traveled to KSC to assist with deployments, and these efforts will continue this summer to include PSU. This project helps reduce cybersecurity risk and vulnerabilities across ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û by replacing older, insecure computers with modern hardware and software to keep our network safe.
