This week’s Enterprise Technology & Services Tech Briefing contains updates, new information, and a reminder.
ET&S to Add Self-Service and Colleague to Microsoft SSO
To Know: ET&S continues to migrate applications to the Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) environment.ÌýCanvas, Zoom, Microsoft 365, Kaltura, and many applications have already migrated to create a robust SSO that allows you to sign-in once and access many applications.
On Tuesday, March 14, the Colleague environment will join other applications in the Microsoft environment. Colleague will be unavailable between 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. on March 14.
On Wednesday, March 15, ET&S will add Self-Service to SSO. Self-Service will be unavailable between 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. on this day.
To Do: What does this mean for you?ÌýIf you start your day by logging into Colleague or Self-Service, you’ll see the Microsoft authentication page and may be prompted for MFA.ÌýOnce logged in, you can access any Microsoft authenticated application without an additional login prompt.
If you are already logged into a Microsoft app (such as email or Word), you should be signed into Colleague or Self-Service without any additional prompt.
Assistance with Audio-Visual Purchases
To Know: ET&S Learning Space Technologies (LST) assists departments in selecting and purchasing audio-visual equipment, such as portable projectors and conference room systems. If you are planning a purchase, please note that many electronic components continue to have a 12-month (or longer) lead time, and FY23 funds may not be available for use.

Windows 11 Is Coming Soon
To Know: Windows 11 is now approved for use on all ×î¿ì¿ª½±Ö±²¥½ÁÖé½á¹û faculty and staff computers. This new version of Windows brings many exciting features and improvements designed to enhance your computing experience.
By July 2023, ET&S will send and push an automated notification to all eligible computers prompting the installation.
To Do: If you would like to install this latest OS before the automated notification, follow these steps:
- See if your computer is eligible: Click Start and type Software Center.
- If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, select and install it (this may take 30-45 minutes).
- ÌýIf you do not see this Upgrade available, your computer does not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 as set by Microsoft.

MacOS Ventura is now available

Reminder: myKSC Portal Preview
To Know: On Monday, March 6, KSC launched the new myKSC portal, a tailored, one-stop campus resource available for all KSC students, faculty, and staff using a web browser or mobile device. The portal has all the information you need in one place, including key campus resources, account info, upcoming events, important deadlines, and more. We'd love to hear your feedback as we develop the portal for a formal launch this summer. The existing portal will remain in place until summer.
