Week 5 Security Tip: Safeguarding Your Data on Public Wi-Fi NetworksÌý
While public Wi-Fi offers convenient internet access, these networks are often unsecure, making it easy for cybercriminals to intercept your data. Some attackers even set up fake Wi-Fi networks with names that closely resemble legitimate ones. Always exercise caution when connecting to public Wi-Fi.Ìý

Action of the Week:Ìý
Before connecting, confirm the correct network name and login process with a trusted source, such as staff at the location. Avoid accessing sensitive accounts (e.g., banking or email) or transmitting confidential information while on public Wi-Fi. If possible, use a VPN to secure your connection.Ìý
